Voki Challenge Week 3

Today we had a look at some photos of this large lake.  It has a surface area of 616 square kilometres (238 sq mi), and it is the second largest freshwater lake by surface area in geopolitical Oceania after Lake Murray (Papua New Guinea). It is a noted trout fishery with stocks of introduced brown trout and rainbow trout.  This lake is also know by the name Taupo nui a Tia .

Can you discover:
What are the photos of?  Where in the world would we find this place?
How was this large lake originally formed?
Why is it such a popular tourist destination?
What is it most well known for?
Any other interesting facts to share with the class?
Be prepared to share your  research on Friday.

Speech Marks

At the start of the term Rm14 learnt about speech marks. We did a brainstorm about a man with bees, he was covered with them, even his face. We also had to edit a story and put in the speech marks and new speaking lines. We hope to learn more this term.
